Free fit check · one chapter · USD 250

Test one chapter.
Then decide on the book.

Bring one final, rights-cleared chapter up to 5,000 words. The sprint turns it into a 6 × 9 print-layout PDF, a reflowable EPUB, and a small source-and-style packet you can inspect before committing to full production.

No manuscript upload or payment at the fit-check stage. Describe the source first; file transfer starts only after the scope and handling terms are accepted.

One chapter · one print profile · one EPUB · one correction pass.

The deliverable

A reading sample, not a vague design promise.

The same reviewed source drives both outputs, so print changes do not quietly make the EPUB a different book.

01

Print-layout PDF

One agreed 6 × 9 interior profile in colour or black-and-white, with the chapter hierarchy, paragraph rhythm, supplied images, and visible source checks reviewed.

02

Reflowable EPUB

A separate EPUB 3 package with working navigation and reader-controlled type size—not a stack of fixed PDF pages hidden inside an e-book.

03

Source trail

Structured chapter source, a style sheet, source ledger, validation report, file manifest, and hashes, plus one pass of up to ten consolidated production corrections.

A deliberately small first step

Your words stay your words.

You supply final edited copy and hold the necessary rights. If the chapter is bilingual, you also supply the final aligned translation. The sprint handles structure, layout, EPUB packaging, and production checks; it does not include translation, substantive editing, illustration, cover design, ISBNs, marketplace upload, printing, or a complete book.

You provide

One chapter up to 5,000 words, final text in DOCX, Markdown, or clean text, no more than twelve supplied images, captions and credits, the primary language, and an optional already-aligned companion language.

We agree first

The print colour mode, trim and margin assumptions, language order, image handling, accessibility notes, source-transfer method, retention, deadline, and exact output list.

You keep control

You approve every textual change. Your source is not published, reused as a sample, uploaded to a marketplace, or sent to a printer through this sprint.

Public process evidence

Download a book packet before sharing yours.

The sample is short and project-owned. It proves the source-to-PDF/EPUB workflow and the inspection trail, not a client result or a full-book delivery.

Textless green cream coral and gold geometric cover used by the public specimen
The same textless cover is embedded in every PDF variant and the EPUB.

Inspect the actual files

Four print variants, one EPUB, one source trail.

The 398 KB packet contains English-main and Traditional-Chinese-main 6 × 9 PDFs in colour and black-and-white, a reflowable EPUB, structured source, a style sheet, source ledger, validation report, manifest, and hashes.

Working terms

Know the boundary before files move.

The accepted written scope controls the work for a particular chapter.

01

Timing

Delivery is ten business days after scope acceptance, confirmed payment, and receipt of the complete agreed source. Only one Book Specimen Sprint is active at a time; the clock pauses while a required input is missing.

02

Correction pass

Send one consolidated list of up to ten formatting, source-mapping, navigation, or packaging corrections within seven calendar days after delivery. New text, translation, another print profile, or another chapter is a new scope.

03

Cancellation and refund

Cancel before source transfer or processing begins for a full refund. After work starts, only completed and delivered items are retained: USD 75 for source mapping and the style sheet, USD 100 for the print specimen, and USD 75 for the EPUB, validation, and correction pass. The undelivered balance is refunded.

04

Source handling and support

Working source copies are deleted within fourteen calendar days after delivery, cancellation, or refund unless the written scope requires earlier deletion. Customer material is never reused as public proof without separate permission. Support is limited to written clarification during the seven-day correction window.

Founding Book Specimen Sprint · USD 250

Start with the chapter that represents the book.

The free fit check asks about source shape, rights, language, images, output needs, and timing. If it fits, both sides approve the exact scope and working terms before a Stripe request or private file transfer.
