KiCad 10 + Linux · up to four presets · USD 400
Test the geometry.
Keep the evidence.
Give me one authorized KiCad geometry-plugin version and up to four agreed setting presets. I run each preset from a fresh copy of a seven-case project-owned board, compare the result with the clean baseline, and return screenshots, DRC evidence, and a concise issue report.
No plugin package, source archive, buyer board, customer data, or payment at the fit-check stage. Both sides agree the package source, license, environment, presets, and acceptance terms in writing first.
One plugin version · one environment · four presets · one correction pass.
What comes back
A small test record your team can inspect.
The result is a repeatable comparison, not a general statement that the plugin is safe for every board or environment.
Environment and settings ledger
The agreed KiCad, Linux, and plugin versions; package source and license note; exact preset values; fixture copy; and the command or UI path used for each run.
Before-and-after evidence
High-resolution captures of the same viewport before and after each preset, plus comparisons of segment count, width, layer, net, endpoint continuity, and DRC results.
Issue and usability report
Changed geometry, no-op cases, warnings, failures, undo behavior, and a minimal reproduction for each anomaly, followed by one consolidated factual correction pass.
Executed project-owned baseline
Seven geometry cases, clean before the plugin runs.
The committed fixture covers orthogonal and 45-degree routes, a short-leg case, three track widths, two copper layers, one via transition, and neighboring clearance cases. Native KiCad DRC reports zero violations and zero unconnected items.
Pinned fixture manifest
The baseline is machine-readable and reproducible.
The manifest records 34 track segments—32 on F.Cu and two on B.Cu—plus one via. It also records per-case nets, widths, layers, DRC totals, file sizes, and SHA-256 hashes for the board and rendered artifacts.
This is a project-owned baseline and test method, not a result for a third-party plugin and not a customer testimonial.
Separate real-board evidence
The fixture is backed by larger public KiCad work.
HybridImager V2 provides a separate public board with 1,033 footprints, 2,144 track segments, 1,024 vias, Gerbers, STEP, renders, and clean DRC. The digiOBSCURA image-sensor board provides a second routed design with 45-degree traces. Neither board is included in the fixed evaluation.
A deliberately narrow evaluation
One plugin on a known fixture.
The fixed scope excludes buyer boards, plugin-code repair, security or malware certification, electrical or fabrication review, production-workstation installation, proprietary redistribution, guarantees, ongoing support, and unlimited revisions.
You provide
The plugin name and version, your authority to request the test, the authorized package source and license, supported KiCad and OS versions, up to four setting presets, and expected behavior when a requested radius is infeasible.
We agree first
One KiCad 10/Linux environment, the package transfer method after acceptance, exact preset values, success and failure observations, delivery format, timing, and cancellation terms.
Your plugin stays yours
No plugin file is requested during the fit check. Private materials are handled only after the scope is accepted and are not redistributed or added to public proof.
Working terms
The environment and four presets are fixed before payment.
Timing
Delivery is within five business days after payment and after the authorized plugin package, license, environment, presets, expected behavior, and delivery format are stable and available.
Correction pass
One consolidated list of factual corrections to the agreed evidence and report is included within seven calendar days after delivery. New versions, presets, platforms, boards, or code changes are a new scope.
Cancellation and refund
Cancel before work begins for a full refund. Once work starts, the USD 400 price is allocated as USD 80 for environment and baseline setup, USD 220 for the four-preset evaluation and evidence, and USD 100 for the issue report and handoff; only undelivered items are refunded.
KiCad Plugin Evaluation · USD 400
Start with the plugin metadata, not the package.
The free fit check asks only for the plugin version, authorization, target environment, presets, expected behavior, and delivery need. Direct-site clients receive a payment request only after the written scope is accepted; marketplace work keeps its contract and payment on that marketplace.
